The Digital Learning Center is designed to provide digital arts education in partnership with Artwell Gallery, schools, and the community. Its affordable access to advanced technology is available to all residents of the area. We offer media classes to youth ages 10-18 and adults. The DLC is also open free of charge to the public for lab hours.

Digital Portfolio::
Need to create a CD of your work, we are here to help! Learn about shooting, digitizing, scanning, arranging, and storing your work for a digital portfolio. Convert your slides on the scanner, assure cross platform performance and create final packaging for professional submissions.

Digital Illustration::Illustrator
Take your own hand-drawn comic illustrations into the digital world. Using photoshop and illustrator, learn how to add color, create more detail, and prepare for publication on the Internet.

Page Layout::Indesign
Deals with beginning design principles
such as the grid and hierarchy of information.
It is the first of the classes you should consider
taking if you have never designed anything.

Digital Photography::Basic Photoshop
In this course students will learn how to use digital
cameras to take better pictures, and to prepare
digital image files for printing, and the web using
Adobe Photoshop. The emphasis of this course will be
on using digital photography as a means of self
expression. Students will be expected to provide their
own digital cameras. A portable flash drive is also
highly recommended. Also recommended for people interested in web design if you have no photoshop experience.

Image Manipulation::Photoshop
Teaches you Photoshop, the program no
designer can do without. It is invaluable to
the digital art repertoire.

Digital Video::Final Cut Pro/imo vie
Video is an extremely creative and powerful
medium. We will deal with the concepts
and software that make this one of the most
rewarding and expressive formats in which to work.

Web Design::Dreamweaver
Web Design is one of the fastest growing fields
in the US job market. We will discuss among
other ideas, navigation, file management and
the particular design issues surrounding the web.
You must know photoshop for this class.

Flash::FlashMX
This class focuses on the basics of the program
Flash. Students will be introduced to the Flash's
elements of Animation and Interactivity.
